Self Care

Self care is a vital aspect of recovery. It’s not always easy, though. It involves a range of practices, including allowing yourself to feel emotions without shame, resting and sleeping well, keeping boundaries, treating yourself to something lovely and having a gentle and kind relationship with your own body. Women who have struggled with pornography or trauma often have a difficult time appreciating their physical appearance. Thus, this section includes a number of resources aimed at increasing Body-Positivity. Self Care is a complex and personal practice, however and it is not limited to physical care-taking.
